We started in 1964 as Mid-State Insurance Agency. In 2011 we became The Mid-State Group, reflecting the specialty services we had added alongside insurance: safety, human resources, wellness and finance. We also specialize in technology errors and omissions and cyber liability coverage for managed service providers, which is why we understand the security work Versa does for you.

The people behind the Versa client program
Brittany Goodwin
Brittany is the day-to-day contact for Versa clients and the key liaison between Versa and your business. She coordinates with the Versa team on your security details, guides you through the application and your quotes, and stays with your account after coverage is in place.
Rusty Goodwin
Rusty helps organizations find and remove cost and waste. His work covers organizational audits, cost and waste reduction, facilities management, supply chain optimization, capital improvement and budget oversight, along with marketing and communications strategy.
John Austin S. Basten
John leads The Mid-State Group and its partnerships with managed service providers such as Versa. He works with business owners on long-term growth strategy, with particular depth in strategic HR, compliance, employee engagement and leadership development.
